Geo-Engineering: Venus on Earth

Geoengineering results from the Paris Accord’s two objectives. In addition to holding the increase in the global average temperature to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels, the Paris Accord aspired to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C.

There is an issue with the second objective. There is already too much carbon in the atmosphere to reach this aspiration, so we will overshoot it long before we implement any agreement. This means that the only way to reach 1.5°C is to remove the effect of this carbon.
